The Wounded Healer – Personal Spiritual Formation
Prerequisite: None
Credit Hours: 3
This course invites Doctor of Ministry students to an honest exploration of their own spiritual journey and well-being as it relates to the demands of pastoral ministry. Drawing on the concept of the “wounded healer,” students will examine how personal experiences of brokenness and healing can inform their pastoral care. The course focuses on developing sustainable practices for personal spiritual growth, self-care, and resilience, enabling pastors to assess and address their own spiritual health in order to more effectively and authentically minister to others from a place of spiritual depth.
