The Theory and Practice of Biblical Theology

Prerequisite: None
Credit Hours: 3

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the foundational principles and methodologies of biblical theology. Students will examine the development of biblical theology as a discipline, focusing on understanding Scripture as a unified, Christ-centered narrative of God’s redemptive acts. Emphasis will be placed on tracing key theological themes (such as covenant, kingdom, temple, and mission) across the Old and New Testaments, demonstrating their organic development and culmination in Christ. The course will equip pastors to apply the insights of biblical theology to their preaching, teaching, and overall pastoral ministry, fostering a canonically informed and Christocentric approach to Scripture.
