Credit Hours: 3
In this course, the student gains a thorough understanding of the theological, exegetical, and historical contents of the books written by the Hebrew prophets. An emphasis is placed on Isaiah, and its place within redemptive history—particularly his Messianic prophecies that are fulfilled in Christ. The student is expected to examine the Greek or Hebrew text in some depth. Isaiah is also placed within the broader context of Israelite prophetism which encapsulates both the major and minor prophets in the Old Testament.
