PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
American Lutheran Theological Seminary is a confessional Lutheran seminary committed to the inerrancy, relevance, and intensive study of God’s Word written in the books of the Holy Bible for contemporary discipleship, evangelism, apologetics, and equipping the saints. Study of scripture dominates the curriculum.
Students at ALTS study and apply the content of a Biblical and confessional Lutheran curriculum to the contemporary American and global context. ALTS uses the mentoring-model of education in a confessing Christian community, to practice Christian love and discipleship (Acts 2), and to train pastors to establish and equip the church to reach and disciple the next generation (Ephesians 4).
